Cancellation Policy
Blackbird Music Academy Lesson Policy Welcome to Blackbird Music Academy! This policy outlines the guidelines for our weekly music lessons, delivered and reserved at a fixed time each week. By enrolling, you agree to these terms to ensure a smooth and productive experience for students, parents, and instructors. 1. Enrollment and Registration Eligibility: Open to students of all ages/skill levels. 2. Scheduling Lesson Schedule: Lessons occur weekly at a fixed time (e.g., every Monday at 4 PM), set at registration. Lessons are given at Blackbird Music Academy. Lessons may be scheduled online at www.myblackbirdmusicacademy.com or by phone (250-677-8427). 3. Cancellations and Make-Ups Fifth Week Bonus: Months with 5 lesson weeks include the fifth week as a built-in makeup opportunity at no extra charge, covering any prior eligible missed lesson. Additional make ups/reschedules, while not guaranteed, are possible if given 24 hour notice for cancelled lessons. Notify your instructor via email/text/call. Any additional make up lessons are limited (up to 2 per 3-month period, subject to availability). Any make ups/rescheduled lessons must be made within 1 month of the missed lesson. Late cancellations/no-shows are charged in full, except for emergencies (at our discretion). Refunds: No refunds for missed lessons or cancellations outside this policy *All make up or rescheduled lessons are subject to the instructor's availability. 4. Attendance and Conduct Punctuality: Please join your lessons on time. Late arrivals receive the remaining lesson time and are charged in full. Preparation: Students must have their instrument and music books. Practice assignments are expected to be completed. Conduct: Maintain respectful behavior. Disruptive actions may result in lesson termination without refund. 5. Termination Discontinuing Lessons: Provide 30 days’ written notice via email. You are charged for lessons within this period. No refunds for unused lessons.
